Cuyahoga Heights Schools celebrated six individuals whose athletic accomplishments earned them a place in the Athletic Hall of Fame.
The 2026 Hall of Fame class included Dayna Denner, Jason Kleppel, Austin Lane, Logan Matt, Bailey Rosolowski and Brandon Rosolowski.
The inductees were recognized during the varsity football game on Friday, September 11, at Ralph P. Adams Stadium and formally inducted during a dinner on Saturday, September 12, at Cuyahoga Heights Village Hall.
Established in 1998, the Cuyahoga Heights Schools Athletic Hall of Fame recognizes individuals who distinguished themselves as athletes or made outstanding contributions to the athletic program at Cuyahoga Heights High School.
Family, friends, alumni, and school community members gathered to celebrate the six inductees and their accomplishments as part of Cuyahoga Heights’ athletic tradition.
Meet the 2026 CHS Athletic Hall of Fame Inductees
Dayna Denner, Class of 2016
Denner was a two-sport athlete in softball and basketball. A four-year softball letter winner, she helped Cuyahoga Heights win three conference, four sectional, three district, and two regional championships, including the 2014 state championship. Denner was a three-time first-team all-conference selection, conference MVP, two-time first-team All-Ohio selection, and Ohio Varsity Player of the Year. She set numerous school records, including career marks for home runs, RBI, slugging percentage, and batting average.
Denner continued her softball career at Ashland University and the University of Toledo. Her collegiate honors included GLIAC Freshman of the Year, MAC Player of the Year, multiple all-region selections, and University of Toledo Female Athlete of the Year. She earned bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Toledo and works as a senior operations specialist at Dealer Tire and a scorekeeper for Major League Baseball.
Jason Kleppel, Class of 2013
Kleppel was a three-sport athlete in football, basketball, and baseball. In football, he was a two-time first-team all-conference selection, earned honorable mention All-Ohio recognition, and was named the conference Defensive MVP in 2012. He also earned all-conference honors in basketball and was a first-team all-conference and second-team All-Ohio selection in baseball.
Kleppel earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of Dayton and attended the University of Toledo College of Medicine before completing an emergency medicine residency with MetroHealth and Cleveland Clinic. He is an emergency medicine physician at Cleveland Clinic.
Austin Lane, Class of 2013
Lane was a three-sport athlete, earning three letters in football and four in both basketball and baseball. He was a two-time first-team all-conference selection in football and earned first-team Northeast Lakes District honors and the Bill Jacobs Award in 2011.
On the baseball field, Lane was a team MVP, Plain Dealer All-Star, and Mizuno All-Ohio selection. During the 2012 state semifinal, he set a Division IV state record with two home runs and five RBI as Cuyahoga Heights advanced to the state championship game. Lane went on to play baseball at Xavier University and now works in management at Sherwin-Williams.
Logan Matt, Class of 2012
Matt competed in football, basketball, and track and field. A four-year football letter winner, he earned first-team all-conference and all-district honors along with honorable mention All-Ohio recognition. He later spent two years on the football team at Case Western Reserve University, where he received UAA All-Academic honors.
In track and field, Matt earned first-team all-conference, all-district, and All-Ohio honors. He was a member of the school-record-setting 4x400-meter relay team that placed fourth at the state meet. He also received the West Point Leadership Award and Mike Wright Award. Matt earned a bachelor’s degree in finance from Case Western Reserve University and is a finance vice president at Bank of America.
Bailey Rosolowski, Class of 2013
Rosolowski was a four-year gymnastics letter winner and three-time state qualifier. She earned All-Ohio recognition after placing sixth in the vault at the state meet. In 2012, she helped Cuyahoga Heights win a conference championship, captured the conference individual all-around title, and was named Conference Gymnast of the Year.
Rosolowski graduated from the University of Toledo in 2017 with a degree in marketing and sales. She currently lives in Japan with her husband and son.
Brandon Rosolowski, Class of 2013
Rosolowski was a four-sport athlete who competed in soccer, swimming, diving, and wrestling. In swimming and diving, he was a two-time CVC champion and three-time state qualifier in diving, placing 12th, seventh, and second during his three appearances. He earned All-Ohio honors three times and finished as the 2013 state runner-up. Rosolowski also set school records in the six-dive score, 200 medley relay, and 200 freestyle relay.
Rosolowski attended the University of Toledo and the University of Toledo College of Medicine before completing an emergency medicine residency at Indiana University. He is an emergency medicine physician with OhioHealth.
The six members of the Class of 2026 joined generations of athletes, coaches, school officials, and community members recognized by the Cuyahoga Heights Schools Athletic Hall of Fame for their achievements and contributions to Heights athletics.
