Cuyahoga Heights High School seniors were celebrated for their accomplishments in academics , leadership, service, athletics, and scholarship during the annual Senior Awards Program on May 19.

The evening recognized students earning State of Ohio Honors Diplomas, Phi Beta Kappa honors, military recognitions, community service awards, athletic accomplishments, and Cuyahoga Valley Career Center distinctions. Students were also honored through dozens of local scholarships presented by alumni organizations, community groups, memorial foundations, booster organizations, and local families.

Principal Scott DeTray said the program reflects the dedication and perseverance of the Class of 2026 throughout their high school careers. “Our seniors have worked incredibly hard both inside and outside the classroom, and this evening was an opportunity to recognize not only their accomplishments, but also the positive impact they have had on our school and community,” said DeTray. “We are proud of the Class of 2026 and excited to see all they will accomplish in the future.”

The program also highlighted the strong support students receive from the Cuyahoga Heights community, with many local organizations and residents continuing longstanding traditions of recognizing graduating seniors for their hard work and future potential.

DeTray led portions of the evening’s program, while scholarship presentations and recognitions were delivered by community members, families, and organization representatives. The ceremony concluded with closing remarks and congratulations to the Class of 2026 as seniors prepare for graduation later this month.
