Surrounded by lush greenery, about 115 Cuyahoga Heights High School students and their guests marked the end of the school year at the annual senior prom on Saturday, May 9. This year’s event, appropriately themed, “A Night in the Garden,” took place at the Cleveland Botanical Garden in University Circle.
Prom goers enjoyed strolling through the beautiful gardens before dinner. Indoors, they enjoyed a sumptuous feast what included a crudite platter with dressing on the side as the salad, Herb Oil Grilled Chicken Breast, Pork Tenderloin Medallions, Cavatappi with Tomato and Spinach Cream Sauce, and Roasted Seasonal Vegetables.
After dinner, party goers danced to the sounds provided by Mark Derenberger of D&M DJ Entertainment from Columbus, Ohio. Students also enjoyed donning hats and fun accessories as they posed with one another inside a photo booth.
Co-advisors for prom are Halle McPherson and Shelby Castle.
“It was wonderful to see the students in formal dress and enjoying the evening,” said Castle. “For members of the Class of 2026, it provided one more opportunity to make lasting memories of their years together.”
