A parade of talented Cuyahoga Heights High School students will make their debut in the Paul L. Baumgardner Auditorium with their rendition of Meredith Willson’s Tony Award-winning musical, “The Music Man” March 13-15.

Theater-goers will enjoy a litany of songs made famous by the musical including "Seventy-Six Trombones," "Till There Was You", "Ya Got Trouble," "Goodnight, My Someone," "Marian the Librarian," and "Gary, Indiana".

The plot concerns con man Harold Hill, who poses as a band organizer and leader in 1912 River City, Iowa. Hill sells band instruments and uniforms, promising to train the new band members. He plans to skip town, however, without giving any music lessons until prim librarian and piano teacher Marian Paroo sees through him. When Hill helps Paroo’s younger brother overcome his lisp, she begins to fall in love with him, causing Hill to risk being caught to win her heart.

While the students rehearse their roles and choreography, the stage crew is busy creating the set. “Rehearsals are going well, "said Director Grace Brown. “We have a great energy this year amongst the cast and crew.  It is a very fun show to put together, and students are really enjoying themselves. Noah Hamrick is musical director and Amanda Paus, first-grade teacher at the elementary school, is choreographer.

Performances take place March 13 and 14 at 7 p.m. and March 15 at 2 p.m. Purchase tickets using this online link: https://events.hometownticketing.com/boxoffice/cuyhts/entity/schools/3
