Surrounded by family, friends, coaches, and staff, three outstanding Cuyahoga Heights High School (CHHS) student-athletes proudly made their college commitments official by signing national Letters of Intent during a ceremony in mid April. In signing, all three agreed to continue their athletic and academic careers at the collegiate level.
Nick Armbrust will head to the University of Mount Union for track and field. At CHHS, his primary track and field events are the long jump and high jump. Currently, he is also running the 4 x 200 and 4 x 400. At the University of Mount Union, he plans to major in biology and eventually enter graduate school to become a physician assistant. He is the son of Melinda and Kristopher Armbrust of Cuyahoga Heights.
Paige Henley has committed to Baldwin Wallace University to play volleyball. She will study nursing with the ultimate goal of becoming a nurse practitioner with a focus on pediatric psychology. She is the daughter of Crystal and Jim Henley of Cuyahoga Heights.
MacGowan Rott will continue his baseball career at Salem University. He is a pitcher and an outfielder for the Red Wolves. He is the son of Kevin and Jessamyn Rott of Garfield Heights.
“We are incredibly proud of Nick, Paige, and MacGowan for their accomplishments and wish them continued success in this next chapter. Their achievements reflect the strength of our athletic programs and the supportive community that surrounds them,” said Athletic Director Ryan Kelber.
