Students of the Month and Board Members

Students of the Month were recognized at the January 22 Board meeting.  Board members presented each student a certificate to commemorate their accomplishment. 

Representing Cuyahoga Heights Elementary School were the following:

Audrey Thomas – Grade 3

Audrey is a remarkable young lady and a model Red Wolf Pup! She is always kind and hardworking. She consistently does her best on all of her schoolwork and takes the initiative to make sure she understands new concepts. Audrey puts others first and is very empathic towards her classmates. She is a friend to all and a great teammate.

Xander Domini – Grade 3

Xander truly represents his school in the best ways! His genuine kindness is infectious. Xander's commitment to learning, uplifting attitude, and thoughtful nature consistently brings positive energy to everyone around him. He makes a point to include others and ensures everyone feels welcome. Beyond his kindness, Xander demonstrates remarkable perseverance when faced with challenges. Whether tackling tough problems or navigating difficult situations, he puts forth his best effort and never gives up. His resilience, combined with his natural curiosity and gentle nature, makes him a great student and role model for his peers! 

From Cuyahoga Heights Middle School:

Jackson Merbler – Grade 6

Jackson embodies the qualities of a dedicated, respectful, and hardworking student. He consistently goes above and beyond in the classroom. He actively participates in both group and independent work, always approaches challenges with enthusiasm, and stays focused on the task at hand. His demonstrated willingness to help others, kindness, and patience toward his classmates sets a positive example for his peers. He is a true leader and role model to his peers. 

Malachai Akers – Grade 7

Malachai has consistently demonstrated resilience, tackling challenges with a positive attitude and unwavering determination. Whether facing a difficult academic concept or navigating personal obstacles, Malachai rises to the occasion with grace and perseverance, proving that setbacks are just opportunities for growth. Kindness also radiates from Malachai with respect to interactions with others. He is always ready to lend a helping hand, offer a word of encouragement, or simply brighten someone’s day with a smile. His genuine care and kindness toward classmates and teachers fosters a sense of community and belonging within our school. 

Lana Collins – Grade 8

Lana shows ncredible resilience and willingness to work hard.  Whether dealing with tough assignments or personal obstacles, she has demonstrated a strong ability to stay positive, keep trying, and bounce back from setbacks. Lana’s ability to adapt to change, find creative solutions, and stay motivated has not only helped her overcome obstacles but has also inspired others around her.

From Cuyahoga Heights High School:

Sophia Jackson – Grade 9

Sophia’s Honors Biology teacher states that she is a hard worker who may have found her calling in Biology. She has remained at the top of her class (even when compared with both Honors classes combined). Throughout the first half of the school year, she has gained more confidence and now  participates regularly in class. She has gained faith in her abilities in science. “Even just knowing her for a half a year, I foresee her having a career in Biology or the medical field,” says her teacher.  

Karissa Tritsarolis – Grade 10

Karissa has been a leader and a high achiever in class since the start of the year.  Her math confidence has grown tremendously throughout the first semester.  She is quick to respond to questions and diligently completes her work.

Aiden Flynn – Grade 11

Aiden has been an outstanding performer on assessments throughout the school year. He has shown improvement in completing assignments and shown that he is a critical thinker who likes to be challenged.  

Brody Boyert – Grade 12

Brody demonstrates a strong commitment to the ideals of politeness, consideration for others, and performing small acts of kindness. He often notices things that go overlooked by his peers, and this attentiveness makes him more attuned to the needs of others. According to one of his teachers, he seems genuinely interested in the literature he’s reading and one can almost see his mind working when he’s quietly working in class. He’s very in tune with the natural world and has an admirable appreciation for all things outdoors. “Overall, it’s been a treat to have Brody in class and get to know him this semester,” his teacher said.
