Ten dedicated Cuyahoga Heights High School band and choir students participated in the Ohio Music Education Association (OMEA) District 4 & 7 Honors Band & Choir Honors Festival November 7-9 at Cleveland State University (CSU).
This event brought together outstanding musicians from more than 30 area school districts to make music, learn high-level skills, and build a sense of community. āOur students were able to interact and make high-level music with hundreds of other stand-out high school students,ā commented Noah Hamrick, Cuyahoga Heights Schools director of bands and choirs. The students were able to learn from world-class clinicians and build skills that they brought back to the district.
The experience culminated on November 9 with both a choir concert and a band concert composed of all the District 4 and 7 participants CSUās Waetjen Auditorium. The events were free and open to the public. Great job to our Red Wolf musicians!
