You’ve Scene it Here! CHHS Student Advances to Compete at State Level

Cuyahoga Heights High School Senior Gio Iacobucci took first place for the Video Production category and second place for the Desktop Publication category at the Ohio Business Professionals of America (BPA) Regional Competition held at the Cuyahoga Valley Career Center (CVCC) earlier this month. As a winner at the regional contest, he advances to compete at the Ohio BPA Competition to be held in March.

For the Video Production category, Gio was part of a team that created a documentary about an endangered species.  He obtained raw footage of an endangered animal at the zoo, helped write a script, edited the piece, and selected musical accompaniment.

For the Desktop Publication category, Iacobucci said he “utilized the knowledge acquired over the years at CVCC to design a logo for a made-up company, and create an accompanying business card and flier.”

Iacobucci said he is preparing for the state competition by doing trial runs of what the competition could be like and to further hone his expertise on his craft.

He plans to attend Baldwin Wallace in the fall to study digital marketing.
