2022 Graduate Finishes in Top Ten in National Contest

Congratulations to Cuyahoga Heights High School graduating senior Alexis (Lexi) Baciak who finished among the top ten in the nation in the Dental Terminology competition held at the Health Occupations Students of America (HOSA) International Leadership Conference in Nashville, TN June 22-25. 

Baciak recently completed the Dental Assisting Program at Cuyahoga Valley Career Center (CVCC).  She earned the opportunity to compete in Nashville by becoming a finalist in regional and state-level competitions. She finished in first place in Dental Terminology at a regional contest held in February. Then in March, she took second place in the State of Ohio’s HOSA State Leadership Conference. HOSA’s competitive events focused on leadership and professional/technical skills.  

This year, Baciak was named CVCC’s Outstanding Student for Dental Assisting.  She is also a member of the National Technical Honor Society. Baciak, who graduated from CHHS on May 29, will attend Kent State University in the fall. She is the daughter of  Kari and Jeffrey Baciak of Brooklyn Heights.
