CHHS Team Takes Top Spots in STEM Competition

In late March, members of the Cuyahoga Heights High School (CHHS) Science Club participated in STEM  (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) Wars against students from  other schools in the Chagrin Valley Conference.  Events included the Cardboard Boat Regatta, Mousetrap Racecars, 9-volt Battery Competition, CO2 Cars, STEM  Promotional Video, and Magazine cover design.

The CHHS team took 1st place in the Promotional Video with a submission edited by senior Holden Taylor.  Captains Antonio Chieffalo (a senior) and Kaelib Graaf (a junior) led their team to a 2nd-place finish in the Cardboard Board Regatta and senior Lily Frank’s artistic submission won the team a 3rd-place finish in the Magazine Cover Design category.

Congratulations to the Science Club and their advisor, high school science instructor Miles Patterson!
